As accountants, we use Excel every single day at HLB Mann Judd Insolvency WA. We use Excel for databases, to compare and examine financial statements, to analyse work in progress and remuneration, slice and dice MYOB and Xero data, as a cash book and to run our dividend processes for creditors and members. In other words, we would be lost without it!
It is incredibly powerful – and despite your self-confessed ‘guru status’ with Excel, you probably only know 10% of its capabilities – I know that is certainly the case for me!
So to help learn more about this amazing tool, we are partnering up again with the Excel wizards at Access Analytic in 2020 to deliver complimentary quarterly seminars on Excel and how it can help accountants and other professionals in practice. The sessions are relaxed, informal, highly informative and entertaining (yes, I said entertaining!).
Jeff Robson, Wyn Hopkins and the Access Analytic team have put together this simple cheat sheet of Excel shortcuts. It is amazing that as powerful as Excel is, sometimes it is the little things like shortcuts that get people excited.
They also have a great set of resources that you can access from their website here.
Out first session with Access Analytic will be held on Wednesday, 18 March at 5.30pm at the Institute of Public Accountants offices and spots are filling fast. If you are interested in coming along, please get in touch with Rikki-Lee Bird from our office via email to rbird@hlbinsol.com.au.
I look forward to seeing you there!
